My Top 5....What?!

Okay, I know what you're probably expecting:
Top 5 Rappers. Top 5 Verses. Albums. Music Videos.

But nope — not this time!

Instead, I’m giving you my Top 5 Apps/Software that help me take a song from the brainstorming phase to a finished product. Whether you’re an artist, producer, or content creator, these tools are game-changers. Let’s go:

1. Audacity – The Rough Draft King
Before I hit the studio, I like to lay down rough vocals at home — and for that, Audacity is my go-to.
It’s free, user-friendly, and packed with solid features like:

Multi-tracking

Looping

Effects & trimming tools

Exporting in multiple formats (even all tracks separately)

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly way to record, sequence, and edit, Audacity is a serious contender.

2. Pro Tools – The Studio Heavyweight
Sure, Pro Tools costs a bit more, but its power and precision make it worth every cent.
I’ve tried multiple DAWs — even recorded on reel-to-reel tape — and nothing gives me the flexibility and polish that Pro Tools does.

There’s a reason it’s the industry standard.

3. InShot – The Content Creator’s Swiss Army Knife
I’ve used InShot for years. You can:

Edit photos and videos

Add transitions and filters

Trim and layer audio

Resize for social platforms

It’s super easy to use. The free version is solid, but I definitely recommend upgrading to unlock everything.

4. Photoshop – Still the GOAT (Now with AI!)
You already know Photoshop — but they’ve added AI tools that let you create designs with prompts.

There’s a YouTube tutorial for almost everything, so even beginners can get up to speed. It’s an investment, but totally worth it if you’re serious about visuals.

5. ChatGPT – The Secret Weapon
Let’s be real — ChatGPT changed the game. I use it for:

Writing lyrics, bios, captions, and blog posts

Brainstorming concepts

Generating design ideas

Even tracking unclaimed royalties (!)

It helps me work faster and smarter. If you haven’t tried it, you're sleeping.

Proof in the Product: "Brain Freeze"
I used all five of these tools to help bring my track Brain Freeze to life — from rough vocals in Audacity, final mixing in Pro Tools, designing promo graphics in Photoshop, creating video teasers in InShot, to refining my rollout strategy with ChatGPT.

Final Thoughts
That’s my Top 5 Apps/Software that keep my creative process tight from start to finish.

Got a favorite I didn’t mention?
Drop it in the comments — I’m always looking for new tools to elevate the game.

Until next time, stay creative. 🎧
